Let's Back Track a Little

Okay, I'm back! I finished up my exams on the 19th and my last paper was submitted on the 25th and I've enjoyed some time off catching up on my knitting and attempting some spring cleaning around the house, with varying levels of success for all of the above tasks. I even found my card reader this week so I'm able to upload some photos and do a few posts, and on that note I've decided to do a little back tracking from the beginning of April and catch up to the current days through a few posts over the next week. So enjoy!

 

At the beginning of April we were still having a fair amount of rainy days which resulted in having to bundle up a bit before we headed out for some outside time. Here's Jasper sporting his yellow muddy buddy which has been great with his crawling around everywhere (at the beginning of the month, he's past that now).

And a Picture of James being silly below. He's (James) is actually starting to-knock on wood-pose for the camera, or at least not always look away or put on a scowl, either way i'll take it:)

 

These pictures were taken when Jasper was pretty confident with his walking inside but not so much outside, so he's looking a little wide in his stance in this shot. 

 

Okay, it's 1:30am and I'm going to head off to bed but come back later....

To tie you over until after exams!

In 26 hrs I'll be sitting down to start my last exam of the semester and then i get to start my 2 1/2 week break in between semesters. So since I'm trying hard not to procrastinate i thought if i posted just one picture it would be enough for me to feel like i'm doing something without actually taking up too much time. Maybe on the weekend and early next week i'll sit down and make a few posts for you guys.

 

Couldn't wait...

I was planning on waiting until i had time to do a full on Easter weekend post (since it was a very full and busy weekend) before i posted this video (below) but realistically i don't see that happening in the next few days so i thought i'd post this video for your enjoyment and will round up photos and another video or two and get something more done later in the week, but for now this will have to do. I would also like to apoilgize for the above run on sentence!

 

 

HAPPY BELATED EASTER :)

I know, I know, It's been a rough few weeks since i updated (actually i just looked and that last one was only about a week and a half ago, so i'm not doing too bad), but between end of semester papers, presentations, and exams you might just have to settle with one update a week (or two) for this month! Speaking of homework i was working on some when i decided a little procrastination was needed, so here i am. I have no idea if i have anything on the computer that i can even upload (that isn't already posted) but i will go check, be back soon........

..........Okay i'm back, so i found a couple (literally) of pictures from an outside play time we had about a week or two ago.

Jasper playing with the baseball bat. The green bin that he's sitting beside lives in our storage room and is where all the 'outside' toys live. Jasper knows what this bucket contains-because he loves to dig through it-and he knows where to find it. If you leave the front door of the house open and let him go for it, he'll go straight for the door and start banging on it until you come over an dopen it up for him so he can get to that glorious green bucket! 

Here's a shot of James on his bike. It's a bit of long distance shot, to be honest it's not always easy to get a picture of him close up because 1.) he doesn't stay still for as long as is necessary and 2.) he's not one for amking a smile for the camera.But it's a picture of him doing what he loves to do outside so i figure it's okay! After a few days of practicing being on the bike after the winter months he's back it with great gusto. 

 

So there you go a few photos to tie you over until i manage to get this class presentation done on friday then i'll post some great photos from our Easter weekend here, and let's just say there is an awesome video to go with that post!

Auntie Logan = Pictures

A few weeks ago Auntie Logan came for a visit, and like most times when Auntie Logan visits i find my camera suddenly has a lot more photos on it that before she arrived-this is a good thing by the way! During her visit Jasper was home sick from daycare and he spent a few days with Logan, so here's a bunch of pictures for you....

 

 

 

Eating is Hard Work!

 

 

Jasper had his first official fall a sleep while eating in the chair moment this week. 

 

At one point he thought about maybe waking up but....then he thought better and decided he was good where he was!

 

Weekend Outing....

As most of you know, Angus is currently away on a co-op work term. He spends 3 weeks away and then is home for 1 weekend and then back out again. This has been our situation since January and as we hit the 2 1/2 month marker we've gotten into a rythm that seems to be working. Between school, daycare, visits to the pool, kindergym and playdates with the neighbours, and taking care of sick kids, the weeks in between visits seem to pass fairly quickly.  And when Angus does get here for the weekend we tend to stack up on the family time! This usually consists of an outting saturday morning (Often kindergym as it's a place where the boys can burn off their energy during these raining cold winter days-yes it's march and i'm still refering to the weather as winter, at least for down here it is!), lunch together and an afternoon doing whatever. Usually the boys hang out together and i (brit) sneak off to get in a few hours of homework. Maybe a trip to the pool--I need to bring the camera next time i go and get some pictures/video of the boys there, James is getting pretty confident in the pool these days!

This weekend our outting was actually down to Beacon Hill Park and Clover Point on Dallas Rd on Sunday morning as the weather was clear (and cold). The first part of our outting at Beacon Hill was to play at the park and to explain to James why we don't feed the ducks there (they become dependant, they don't migrate....blah, blah, blah....). The Park down at BEacon Hill is a great one for the boys as it has a few different pieces of equipment that allows for climbing, sliding, swinging, jumping, driving, etc....

 

But aside form the ducks we did see another bird....

 

 

 

James was pretty excited to see it with its feathers out as we often see them walking about whenever we're down ther but never with their feathers out!

This is where we switched over from Beacon Hill Park to Clover Point. Clover Point is a park along the ocean that is the perfect location for Paragliders and kiters alike.

As i mentioned before Clover Point is a great location for not only kites but paragliders too!! We saw a few people up in the air while we were there...

Once James saw the paragliders he announced he wanted to do that when he was big, which is when he turns 7. At least that when he thinks he'll be old enough for pretty much everything. 

Since our visit to the park on sunday James has informed me that since daddy is big enough he can learn to paraglide now and then he can teach James and once James knows how to he can teach Jasper. I asked him if he thought it would be hard to learn, he said..."No, you just hold on to the kite and jump off the grass  over the ocean and then you fly". I've never paraglided before but i have a feeling there's more to it then that!

Sunday Afternoon....

Angus has been home this weekend (and i have some nice photos from a walk out at Beacon Hill Park--those to come later this week), and he and james are currently doing some Sunday afternoon bonding....

Like Father like Son.

 

 

James is also currently fighting a bit of a cold, which we seem to be fighting more often this winter, my guess is the extra colds this winter are courtesy of starting up at daycare in January!!!

 

Good Morning....

 

Just a few pictures of jasper that were taken by Auntie Logan yesterday. Jasper isn't feeling so well, fevers and chills, teething, and a running nose, but even when he's not feeling so well we can usually get a smile out of him too!!

 

 

One of James' favourite toys at the moment are his Trains and Track set. Here's a few pictures of one of his recent tracks he created...
